Some work!
This room needed a lot of plaster work. :( But at least it's going to look beautiful! The built in bookshelf has been repainted and the railings are all refinished! :)
Living Room
Don't be fooled by the hardwood floors.. they're laminate (which is fine!! don't get me wrong!) But they are not installed properly... they are warped in some areas, and at the edges they do not go completely flush against the wall. So in those cracks, there are crumbs, mini toys, and other disgusting unknowns! There is also the stairs... and we have floating stairs. I didn't know this at the time- but you can't build these any more in a lot of areas. If you have them, it's from before they stopped allowing them to be built, so if we close them they can never be re-opened. So Andy says open they will stay. I'm okay with it.. I like them. :) And the stairs that lead downstairs have a ledge to decorate. :) I can't wait to put some candles and pictures there!! :)
We pulled up the laminate floors- GROSS! They were holding onto SO MUCH SMELL! You could smell it on your hands when you picked up the pieces. It was gross! They are out- and the house smelled soo much better! For now we are walking around on plywood- can't wait for spring so we can get our new flooring!
